The Columbus peninsula lies between Nordschleuse and Kaiserschleuse locks in Bremerhaven’s Überseehafen district. Along a length of 1,3 kilometres there, bremenports is replacing flood protection installations or constructing new sheet piling. This project also includes the provision of four openings in the dyke and several crossings for supply lines. This satisfies all operating requirements and facilitates traffic to and from the Columbus peninsula.
