Industriehafen and Neustädter Hafen reliably deliver stable throughput figures and safeguard several thousand jobs. They are a dependable element in the Hanseatic city’s economy. On completion of the tunnel under the River Weser when the new A 281 motorway is built, the two terminals will become even closer to one another in terms of traffic. Together with Bremen’s freight village, they will make up a unique logistics powerhouse. To ensure full exploitation of this potential, bremenports plans to improve the nautical conditions at the ports and is planning refurbishment of the road, water and rail connections in time to meet the new situation.
