More than 50 per cent of the goods entering and leaving the port do so by eco-friendly railway. To ensure that this figure continues to rise, the railway is constantly being expanded and refurbished. The next major investment project in a new station in Speckenbüttel is already being prepared. In future, a new IT system called PRINOS will provide a platform that offers smart technology for handling rail transports.
