RONALD SCHWARZE NEW MARKETING MANAGER AT BREMENPORTS

bremenports has appointed a new head of marketing. In future, Ronald Schwarze will have overall responsibility for the marketing activities of the ports of Bremen. Schwarze succeeds Michael Skiba who retired at the end of last year.

51-year-old Schwarze has been with bremenports since 2003. To date he was responsible for presenting the ports of Bremen at trade fairs and was also deputy head of the marketing department. “If we want to strengthen the competitiveness of Bremen’s ports, we have to promote Bremen as a port and logistics location more effectively,” says Schwarze. “This means significantly increasing both digital and analogue marketing pressure, consolidating and expanding our customer relationships and efficiently showcasing the brand position.”

An ongoing challenge remains developing and strengthening the joint activities of the north German port locations. Schwarze states, “We would like to tread new ground together with our partner ports.”

“The field of marketing in particular offers the north German ports a whole range of options for cooperation,” explains Robert Howe, Managing Director of bremenports. “When organising trade fairs in the past, Ronald Schwarze has already acquired comprehensive experience of cooperating with the port industry as well as other port locations. I am delighted that we can now put these skills to good use for bremenports’ marketing activities.”
