THE FIGHT AGAINST RISING SEA LEVELS

In view of rising sea levels, the flood barrier below the Kennedy Bridge in Bremerhaven no longer satisfies future requirements. The Coastal Protection Master Plan therefore specifies the construction of a new flood barrier. The project area involved is from the sea dyke (entrance to the mole at the south of the Geeste) to the Weser dyke (Wilke Atelier). This central location calls for sophisticated technical planning and confronts our experts with new challenges again and again.
