trade fairs, talks and a new conference format

Making new contacts, networking, strengthening customer relationships and meeting potential new customers, representing the interests of the port location and showcasing the strengths of the ports of Bremen – bremenports will be doing all that and more in the second half of the year. The line-up will feature the successful logistics talk events, a completely new conference on all aspects of sustainability and attendance at international trade fairs together with the local (port) industry.

ENVOCONNECT – new conference format on all aspects of sustainability and climate protection

bremenports is planning a true premiere for 21 and 22 September 2023: the very first ENVOCONNECT, a completely new conference, will take place at Atlantic Hotel SailCity in Bremerhaven. The idea behind this new format: the ENVOCONNECT is designed to bring together sustainability actors in the fields of port and logistics in the German-speaking countries across all the different sectors, from cargo handling companies and global logistics players right through to small and medium-sized businesses, from well-established stevedoring companies to go-getting start-ups, and from NGOs to research institutes. At the kick-off event this year, the transition to green power, mitigating the effects of climate change and adapting infrastructure to climate change will be the focal topics of various panel discussions, keynote speeches and workshops. Almost 30 top-ranking experts will provide food for thought in the different ENVOCONNECT formats. Further information, the full conference programme and the registration portal for the ENVOCONNECT are available online: envoconnect.com

bremenports Logistics Talks
Over the coming months, bremenports will be inviting customers to attend the Logistics Talk on four occasions: presentations on port topics and panel discussions will be hosted in Neuss (31.08.2023), Vienna (28.09.2023), Stuttgart (19.10.2023) and Prague (9.11.2023). The events are intended to facilitate the dialogue with new and existing customers and provide an opportunity to share knowledge on the challenges of the future and trends at the ports. It is no coincidence that these events will take place not only at venues in Germany, but also in the Czech Republic and Austria, as both of these countries rank amongst the key customers for the ports of Bremen.

The ports of Bremen – the world over

The next few months will also see three international trade fairs at which bremenports will present the ports and port location together with business enterprises from Bremen and Bremerhaven. The first of these will be the Breakbulk Americas in Houston from 26 to 29 September. This is the USA’s largest trade fair on non-containerised cargo. It will be followed by the transport logistic in Singapore from 1 to 3 November. This is the world’s largest trade fair for the transport and logistics industry and is particularly important for the South-East Asian market.

The final event in 2023 will be the Antwerp XL which will take place in Antwerp from 28 to 30 November. bremenports will also be represented at this venue, the largest European fair for general, ro-ro, heavy lift and project cargo.
